redhot & blue

History

In the spring of 1977, founders Shelly Lotter and Leslie Lipton broke through the gender boundary following Yale’s admission of women, bringng together some of the best male and female voices Yale’s campus had to offer. The result was Redhot & Blue, Yale’s first co-educational a cappella group. Though Redhot’s repertoire has since expanded and changed dramatically, we remain true to our commitment to pursue the highest standards of musical excellence.

Since our debut, Redhot & Blue has released twelve studio albums and performed everywhere from the vineyards of California to the grand rooms of the White House to the ancient Grecian theatre of Epidavros.
